Our Funds: Overview

Since 1991, the Green Century Funds have offered environmentally responsible mutual funds.

Green Century Capital Management ("Green Century") is committed to offering you mutual funds whose portfolios have been screened to include companies with strong environmental performance records as well as those companies who are in the business of solving environmental problems. Green Century draws a hard line against companies with poor environmental records, while always keeping an eye out for innovative firms creating exciting new environmental solutions.

The Green Century Balanced Fund includes stocks and bonds of environmentally responsible corporations of various sizes, including small, medium and large companies. Investments in small and mid-cap companies may offer greater opportunities for growth as well as greater risks for price fluctuations than investments in larger, more established companies. The Balanced Fund may also invest up to 35% of its net assets in high yield, below investment grade bonds, which involves greater risk than investing in more highly rated bonds.

The Equity Fund seeks to achieve long-term total return which matches the performance of the Domini 400 Social(SM) Index, an index comprised of the stocks of 400 companies selected using environmental and social criteria. Like many other mutual funds invested primarily in stocks, the Equity Fund carries the risks associated with investing in the stock market. In addition, the larger companies in which the Equity Fund's portfolio is primarily invested may perform worse than the stock market as a whole.

The Green Century Balanced Fund and the Green Century Equity Fund offer different investment attributes for different investment needs.
