Our team urges companies to become more sustainable to make our world cleaner and safer. In the last five years, we have led 290 company engagements to source more clean energy, reduce the use of plastics, and protect endangered species.
Green Century is wholly owned by environmental and public health nonprofit organizations. Every dollar Green Century earns managing its Funds belongs to our nonprofit owners and helps to further their work.
The Green Century Funds
The fund emphasizes environmentally responsible investments, which may lead to performance differences and potential underperformance compared to non-sustainable funds.
The Green Century Balanced Fund combines stocks and bonds. (Individual Share Class/Institutional Share Class: GCBLX/GCBUX)

Regular Investment Account:
The minimum to open a standard investment account with Green Century Funds is $2,500 per fund, or $1,000 with an Automatic Investment Plan of $100 or more per month per Fund.
IRA Account:
A Roth IRA is funded using after-tax dollars. A Traditional IRA is funded using pre-tax dollars. To learn more about Green Century IRAs, click here.
Other types of accounts:
Green Century also offers SEP and SIMPLE IRAs, Coverdell Education Savings Accounts, Uniform Gift/ Transfer to Minor Act accounts, and Trust Accounts.
