Leslie

Leslie Samuelrich

  • President, Green Century Capital Management

Leslie Samuelrich leads Green Century Capital Management, focusing on the firm’s investment strategies, business development, and impact investing program. She has more than 25 years of experience in ESG investing, corporate accountability, and environmental protection. Ms. Samuelrich is a frequent speaker on sustainable investing and has appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, and other financial and environmental news publications. Prior to joining Green Century, she was Chief of Staff at Corporate Accountability and a member of the Advisory Board for Business Ethics Network. Ms. Samuelrich currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investment (US SIF), the Management Council for Divest-Invest Individual and the Advisory Board of the Intentional Endowments Network. She also is a guest lecturer on impact investing at The Wharton School. She holds a BA in Economics from Boston College.

Kristina

Kristina Curtis

Kristina Curtis has overseen the operations, administration and finances for the Green Century Funds since the organization’s founding in 1991. She is also responsible for supervising the Funds’ investment managers and service providers. Prior to her employment with Green Century, Ms. Curtis served as the Finance Director for several affiliated non-profit consumer and environmental advocacy organizations and as an organizer and program director for community and civil rights organizations in Virginia and North Carolina. She earned her BA at Brown University and her MBA at the Yale University School of Management.

John

John Nolan

  • Senior Vice President, Green Century Capital Management

John Nolan has management responsibilities for operations, administration and financial functions for the Green Century Funds and Green Century Capital Management. Mr. Nolan has more than three decades of experience, both foreign and domestic, in investment banking, finance, administration and operations, including over two decades at Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank. He also served as the first COO at Sustainable Insight Capital Management. He has led other entrepreneurial and impact-oriented efforts at an IT job training firm and a fund focused on the fishing and seafood industry in the Maritime Provinces of Canada. He holds a BA in both Economics and History from Boston College.

Amy F. Puffer

Amy Puffer oversees the compliance function for Green Century and the Green Century Funds. She has worked in the mutual fund industry for over 30 years since earning her BA from Brown University. Prior to her employment with Green Century over a decade ago, Ms. Puffer worked in the fund administration departments of several mutual fund companies. She earned her MBA from Simmons School of Management.

Douglas H. Phelps

Douglas Phelps is President and Executive Director of The Public Interest Network. He also chairs the Board of U.S. PIRG and the Advisory Board of the Fund for the Public Interest. Mr. Phelps chairs the board of Green Corps, the field school for environmental organizing, and serves on the Board of the National Environmental Law Center. He is a graduate of Colorado State University and the Harvard Law School and currently lives in Denver, Colorado.

Wendy

Wendy Wendlandt

Wendy Wendlandt is a founding Trustee of the Green Century Funds and a Board Member of Green Century Capital Management. Ms. Wendlandt is also the Political Director for The Public Interest Network, which includes Green Century Capital Management. Over the last 30 years, she has helped secure millions of dollars in foundation grants, and played a lead role in campaigns that have won dozens of tangible results for public health and the environment. Ms. Wendlandt lives in Los Angeles, California.

Dan

Dan Cembrola

  • Finance and Operations Manager, Green Century Capital Management

Dan Cembrola assists in overseeing the daily management and operations of the Green Century Funds. He is also involved in the coordination of Green Century’s work with the Funds’ service providers. Prior to joining Green Century, Mr. Cembrola worked for several nonprofits and NGOs based in both Washington, DC and Sub-Saharan Africa where his work was focused on global public health and sustainable development. Mr. Cembrola holds a BA from the University of Miami and an MBA from the University of Edinburgh.

Molly

Molly Chafetz

  • Business Development Coordinator, Green Century Capital Management

Molly Chafetz leads the digital marketing strategy and coordinates other business development and programs for the firm in Denver. Prior to joining Green Century, Ms. Chafetz spent nearly a decade working with The Public Interest Network, most recently as part of the central team working with its President. She earned her BA from Wesleyan University.

Jared Fernandez coordinates Green Century’s Sustainable Agriculture Campaign and impact work through leveraging the Funds’ and the firm’s clout as a shareholder to drive companies to adopt more sustainable and environmentally responsible policies and practices. Mr. Fernandez holds a BA from the University of Maryland and MA from New York University.

Erin W. Gray

  • Marketing and Strategic Analysis, Green Century Capital Management

Erin Gray supports financial advisors on the West Coast, coordinates sustainable investing event participation and leads special analytical projects. Prior to joining Green Century more than a decade ago, Ms. Gray performed financial analysis for an environmental consulting firm and worked at a public accounting firm. She earned her BA from Smith College and her MBA and Masters of Environmental Management from Yale University.

David

David Harary

  • Marketing and Business Development Associate, Green Century Capital Management

David Harary leads our individual investor outreach, primarily through the firm’s website, educational presentations and toll-free inquiry line. Prior to joining Green Century, he founded a non-profit think tank focused on sustainability, development and security. He earned a BA in Economics and Geography and International Trade from the State University of New York at Buffalo and an MSc in Sustainability Management from the University of Toronto.

Kyle W. Kempf

  • Director of Communications, Green Century Capital Management

Kyle Kempf oversees Green Century’s communications and media strategies and products, developing and implementing comprehensive, strategic campaigns. Prior to joining Green Century, he spent more than 15 years working in advocacy, government relations, and communications in the public and private sectors. He earned a BA from Boston University and a MSc from the London School of Economics.

Marissa LaFave

  • Shareholder Advocate, Green Century Capital Management

Marissa LaFave coordinates Green Century’s Forest Protection Campaign and impact work by pressing and convincing companies, using the Funds’ and the firm’s leverage as a shareholder, to adopt more sustainable and environmentally responsible policies and practices. Ms. LaFave holds a BA from Boston University.

Mike Longué

Mike Longué helps oversee the daily operations and administration of the Green Century Funds, assists in coordinating work with the Funds’ service providers, and is responsible for special projects. Prior to joining Green Century, he worked at an education nonprofit in Boston and completed strategy consulting projects for a startup incubator in Johannesburg. Mr. Longué earned his BA from Vassar College and his MBA from IE Business School in Madrid.

Brianna Rainville

  • Operations and Business Development Associate, Green Century Capital Management

Brianna Rainville provides assistance to the Green Century Funds’ shareholders and the firm’s outreach work, in addition to performing key administrative duties. Prior to working at Green Century, Ms. Rainville worked for Planned Parenthood and ENSAVE where she helped farmers join an Agriculture Energy Efficiency Program. She earned a BA in Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont.

Trillium Asset Management has been a leader in socially and environmentally responsible investing for over thirty years. A team of three portfolio managers at Trillium has responsibility for the day-to-day portfolio management of the Balanced Fund.

Matthew Patsky, CFA, joined Trillium in 2009 and has over 25 years of experience in investment research and investment management. Mr. Patsky is Trillium’s Chief Executive Officer.

Brent Reeder is a Senior Vice President responsible for overseeing US and non-US equities portfolio management and trading at Northern Trust.
