As we drink in summer’s splendor, our key partners at Environment America are sharing images of our country’s diverse landscapes in an online gallery that features stunning vistas, forest-shrouded streams and other natural wonders.
The America is Beautiful gallery features 250 images from 50 states and territories to inspire people to preserve wild places as we celebrate our nation’s 250th birthday. From the rugged coasts of Oregon to the dusky sands of New Mexico, the images embolden us to explore and protect.
As you know, Green Century is part of a larger organization, the nonprofit Public Interest Research Group (PIRG), that strives to help protect our planet. Environment America and other stakeholders under the same PIRG umbrella aim to protect both public health and our environment.
Environment America’s visual feast connects us with the many special places in our country. Developing a sense of passion for our lands may even spark action and foster a deeper sense of caring so people redouble efforts to pick up litter, avoid single-use plastics and keep our waterways clean.
